RCP Toolkit 2024

These release notes describe the new features and changes introduced in RCP Toolkit 2024. They are divided into the sections enumerated below.

New Software Compatibility

RCP Toolkit 2024 has introduced compatibility with the following third-party software. Software compatibility requires the release version of third-party software. Compatibility with beta versions is not supported.

LabVIEW 2022 and above

Compatibility with 64-bit LabVIEW 2022 or any later 64-bit LabVIEW version has been added.

New Devices Supported

RCP Toolkit 2024 may now interface to the devices listed below.

Quanser QUBE Servo-3 USB

The Quanser QUBE Servo-3 USB device is an integrated DC-servo motor experiment. It is designed to help teach fundamental control concepts and theories on an easy-to-use and intuitive platform. It can be interfaced via a HIL Initialize VI by selecting the qube_servo3_usb board type.

Quanser Aero 2 USB

The Quanser Aero 2 USB is an integrated lab experiment. It is designed to help teach fundamental control concepts and theories on an easy-to-use and intuitive platform. The Quanser Aero 2 USB is also suitable for advanced aerospace research applications. It can be interfaced via a HIL Initialize VI by selecting the quanser_aero2_usb board type.

QArm

The QArm is an integrated lab experiment. It is designed for modern engineering education and academic research applications. It can be interfaced via a HIL Initialize VI by selecting the qarm_usb board type.

Deprecated Features

Deprecated

Some of the previous QRCP features have been deprecated in RCP Toolkit 2024, as mentioned below.

LabVIEW Control Design and Simulation Module

The LabVIEW Control Design and Simulation Module is no longer supported by LabVIEW versions after LabVIEW 2022 Q3.
