The Filtered Derivative VI implements the derivative of a signal and apply a low-pass filter (with configurable cut-off frequency) to the derivative.
Recommended inputs need not be wired. They appear as simple text in the context help window for the VI.

u is the input signal that the derivative is to be calculated. |

cutoff_frequency is the cutoff frequency (in Hz) of the low-pass filter. |

sample_time is the sample time of the control loop. |

y is the filtered derivative of the input signal. |
